Devices we tested. Nothing we haven't.
Reachy works with your phone alone. Two small add-ons make it sharper: a car beacon and an OBD adapter. We only list a device here after we've tested it in a real car ourselves.
"You're at your car."
A small Bluetooth tag that stays in your car. Your phone notices it when you get in or walk away, even locked in your pocket, so Reachy knows it's your car — in any car, with or without CarPlay.
Your engine, VIN and health.
Plugs into the port under your dashboard. Reachy reads when the engine turns on or off, your car's VIN and the check-engine codes. It only reads — it can never drive or unlock your car.
Fine without them.
Parking, tickets and your QR badge all work with the phone alone. Add a device when you want Reachy to be sure faster.
car beacons
Car beacons we tested
what works found + paired inside Reachy, background wake-up (enter / exit) with the phone locked
good to know At factory settings it sends iBeacon only, so it doesn't report its battery level. Reachy reminds you to change the battery by date instead
OBD adapters
OBD adapters we tested
what works pairing, engine on / off, VIN, live readings
good to know No pairing security: anyone nearby can connect to it while it's plugged in and powered. Listed so owners know, not as a recommendation
good to know The secure choice: it accepts a new phone only in the first 5 minutes after it powers on

Other devices
Other iBeacons and Bluetooth OBD adapters may work, at your own risk. We haven't tested them, so we can't promise how they behave, how long their battery lasts or how secure they are. We add a device to this page only after we test it.
