Privacy Policy
Reachy helps people reach the driver of a car that is in their way, and helps drivers avoid tickets — without anyone sharing a phone number. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. "Reachy", "we" and "us" mean GEZI LABS INC, a New York corporation, which runs the Reachy app, app.goreachy.com and goreachy.com.
The short version: we collect only what the service needs. We never sell your data, never show your phone number or email to the person who scans your car, and never give your data to tow companies or parking enforcement. You can delete your account at any time.
1. What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address (or the email Apple or Google shares when you sign in with them — Apple may give us a private relay address) | To create your account, send your sign-in codes, and contact you about your account. |
| Mobile number (optional) | Saved on your account only. We do not verify it and do not text it today. If we later use it to reach you, we will ask for your consent first. |
| Your cars: the name you give a car, its QR badge, and optionally its VIN and description | So someone your car is blocking can reach you by scanning the badge or entering the VIN. |
| Requests ("please move your car"), your replies, their times and outcome | To deliver the request, show its status to both sides, and keep your history. |
| Phone number of a person who scans a car (only if they choose to give it) | So they can get updates about their request. |
| Location (only while you use the map, and only if you allow it) | To show street-cleaning rules and hydrants around you. Your phone shows your position on the map; our servers receive only which map area to load (about a 550-meter square). We do not store your location or keep a location history. |
| Push notification token | To notify you when someone needs you to move your car. |
| Orders and support payments | Store orders: your name, shipping address, email and phone, to ship and support the order. Payment card details are handled by Stripe, Apple or Google — we never see or store your card number. |
| Basic technical data (device type, app version, error logs, IP address in server logs) | To keep the service secure, stop abuse and fix problems. |
We do not collect your license plate, contacts, photos, or anything from other apps.
2. Who helps us run Reachy
We use a small number of service providers who process data only to run Reachy for us:
- Supabase — database and sign-in.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, network and security.
- Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES) — sending sign-in codes and account emails.
- Apple and Google — Sign in with Apple / Google, push notifications, maps on your phone (Apple Maps on iPhone, Google Maps on Android) and in-app payments.
- Stripe — card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments for store orders and support payments on the web.
- Expo — app updates and delivering push notifications.
Street-cleaning rules and hydrant locations come from NYC Open Data (City of New York). We send no personal data to the City.
We may share data if the law requires it (for example a valid court order), or to protect someone's safety. If Reachy is ever sold or merged, this policy continues to apply to your data.
3. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is open. Request records are kept while your account is open so you can see your history. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep records by law (for example payment and tax records).
4. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: email hello@goreachy.com from your account email (in-app deletion is coming).
- See or correct your data: email us and we will send you a copy or fix it.
- Location and notifications: turn them off any time in your phone's settings. Without notifications Reachy cannot tell you when your car needs to move, so the app asks you to keep them on.
- Emails: sign-in codes and account notices are needed to run your account; we do not send marketing email without your consent.
Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights to know, delete or correct your data. We honor these requests for every user. We do not sell or "share" personal information for advertising.
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Your sign-in session is kept in your phone's secure storage (Keychain / Keystore). Database access is locked down so the app can only reach your own data through checked functions. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.
6. Children
Reachy is for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
7. Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
