Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and GEZI LABS INC, a New York corporation ("Reachy", "we", "us"), for using the Reachy app, app.goreachy.com and goreachy.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Reachy.
Please read this part: Reachy is a helper, not a guarantee. We connect public data sources (such as NYC street-cleaning and hydrant data), your phone's location and maps, and messages between people. Any of these can be wrong, late or unavailable. Always check the posted street signs and follow the law. You are responsible for where you park and for any ticket, tow or fee.
1. What Reachy does
Reachy lets a person whose way is blocked ask the driver to move by scanning the car's Reachy badge (or entering its VIN), without either side sharing a phone number. Reachy also shows parking information such as street-cleaning schedules and fire hydrants, and may remind you about them. We are a technology service that passes information between people and from public sources. We are not a towing company, a parking authority, an emergency service or a law-enforcement agency.
2. Parking information and reminders — no guarantee
- Street-cleaning rules, hydrant locations and other parking data come from public sources such as NYC Open Data. That data can be incomplete, out of date, or different from the signs on the street. Temporary rules, holidays, suspensions, construction and emergencies may not be shown.
- Your position comes from your phone's location services and the map provider (Apple Maps or Google Maps). It can be inaccurate, especially between tall buildings, and the app may place you on the wrong side of a street or the wrong block.
- Notifications and reminders depend on your phone, its settings, your network, and Apple's and Google's push services. They can arrive late or not at all.
- Because of this, Reachy does not promise that you will be warned about street cleaning, a hydrant, a tow or any rule, and we are not responsible for parking tickets, towing, fees or other losses — including when the app showed parking as allowed or did not send a reminder. Use Reachy as a second pair of eyes and always check the signs yourself.
3. Reaching a driver — no guarantee
When you ask a driver to move, we try to notify them, but we cannot promise they will see it, answer or move, or how fast. Reachy does not replace calling 311 or other official channels, and is never for emergencies — in an emergency call 911.
4. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and give accurate information. Keep your email and devices secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Only register cars you own or are allowed to use, and put Reachy badges only on those cars.
- You may close your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
5. Fair use
Do not use Reachy to harass, threaten, stalk or spam anyone; to send false requests; to track a person or a car; to scrape or copy the Service or its data; to break or test our security; or to break any law. Messages through Reachy must be about the car and the situation.
6. Store, support payments and refunds
- Store (physical goods): prices, shipping and taxes are shown at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe. If an item arrives damaged or wrong, contact us within 30 days at hello@goreachy.com and we will replace or refund it.
- Support payments ("tips"): voluntary payments to help keep Reachy free. They do not buy a product or extra features and are not charitable donations (not tax-deductible). In the app they are processed by Apple or Google under their refund rules; on the web by Stripe. Ask us if you paid by mistake.
7. Our content and yours
Reachy, its name, logo, app and website belong to Gezi Labs Inc. You may use them only to use the Service. You keep the rights to what you enter (for example a car's name) and give us permission to use it only to run the Service.
8. Third-party services
Reachy relies on services we do not control, including Apple, Google, Stripe, maps providers and public data from the City of New York. Their terms and availability also apply, and we are not responsible for their errors or outages.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, GEZI LABS INC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR PARKING TICKETS, TOWING OR IMPOUND FEES, OR LOST TIME, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
11. Changes and ending
We may update these terms. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect; continuing to use Reachy means you accept the new terms. We may change or stop parts of the Service.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in New York County, New York, have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.
